What’s been happening:

I started part-time as a nontraditional student in the nursing program in 1994. My life was busy then with raising our son and daughter in elementary school. They were involved in many athletics and music programs during that time and I remember reading and studying in my car in the school parking lots. My husband was not working at the time so he helped out with laundry, grocery shopping, and other errands while I stayed up late studying and working part-time nights at a nursing home to help with household expenses. I was able to graduate in December of 1997 with the B.S.N. degree. I don't regret returning to college at 39 years old to finish a goal I always dreamed of completing. I would recommend it to other mothers who had a dream to finish their college degrees someday. My family is proud of what I accomplished!!
